Suggest a capacitor for DSC1500.1D

So, a battery it is.

Now for the question, the hc800 or that deka 9a31?

I'm guessing the hc800 was made as an external battery while the deka is a replacement battery? If that's the case, I'll probably go with the hc800 since I just bought a new car batt haha

a group 31 deka would do more than a kinetik hc800 in that situation. I would do a kinetik hc1200 only because I don't buy used batteries and a hc1200 is ment more to handle a 1500 watt amp than an 800 is. If you are running a stock alt and you plan on adding a battery I would strongly recommend getting an agm charger. Last I looked no one covers under charged batteries with their warranties.

run a 1200 or bigger and get you an isolator.. That way your kinetik will just power your sytema dn your factory batt will remain untouched and dont have to worry about your system running your batts down to where your car doesnt even start...

1800 would be ok and better thing is I would get an agm charger. Use a DMM set on dc volts to measure the voltage of the back battery a couple hours after you are done bumping the system and if the voltage reads 12.7-12.5ish you know you should charge it back up. If the voltage rests lower than when it started you are heading towards an "undercharge situation".

But I would rather have my alt charge it instead so I wouldn't have to constantly go back and recharge the 1200. And yeah, according to kinetic they suggest an 1800, I think that's too much to be honest.

Running the hc1200 dedicated to the system + an isolator sounds like the best idea though?

~85-90a amp alt basically has at best support for 700-800 watts. Reason I say that is because the car itself just to run is going to want 20-35 amps from your alt just to run., and the alt doesn't put out full power at or near idle.

Special application 1800's are (couple of years) older models no longer warrantied.

Not trying to keep beating a dead horse but any battery you get for a system where the amplifier can pull more than the alt puts out should have a charger for the batteries, I don't care about the brand make or model of battery. All it will do is help protect your investment.

The HC1800 Special Application is the same as the HC1800 spec-wise; however, it includes Square Type Posts terminals. It works great as an additional battery in a car audio system or in boat/marine applications

Special Application Version

This battery/power cell is to be used an additional battery to your audio system. It typically cannot fit under the hood due to the large wing-nut terminals you see in the picture which cannot be removed
