Subzone Box

What is the general opinion on Subzone boxes? I found one that built almost exactly to my subs' (Orion H2 15") specs (2.5 cubic feet each chamber) with a speaker displacement of .48 which brings it down to about 2.25 which is exactly what Orion recommends. It is tuned to 35 hz. The only thing I'm not sure of is the ports? Orion recommends 4.43 x 4.43 (square) and tuned to 33hz. The Subzone box is slot ported, will this meet the recommendations? It's only 99 bucks too.

go ahead with it. if u dont want to take the time to mkae ur own. then just buy it.

Half of the $99 it costs would go to materials if I built my own. The other half is worth my time if the specs are right.

it would cost about $35 to build your own...thats what they want to ship it.

but if your not comfortable building one and feel that it is worth it then go ahead. it seems to be a solid box. is that tuning freq. with the sub displacement included? how do they know what your putting in it??

That is what I am not sure of. I've never messed with ported boxes so I don't completely undertand tuning, port size, etc. With the speaker displacement, each chamber would be 2.25 cubes which is exactly what I need. Now I just need to calculate the port size of the subzone box, and what it would be tuned at with 2.25 cubes w/ the speaker displacement, if that makes sense.
