Subwoofers playing but no thump

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions! I appreciate it. I have found the problem and what went wrong was, I wired a positive and negative to one wire that I spliced into and did the same for the other. If anyone else is having the same issue I hope this helped. Thanks again.

 
What about a line driver/converter like the LC2i? It won't stop a distorted signal from the h/u but will at least give a stronger signal to the amp.
I was going to say that as well. I read on several gm forums that they used that audiocontrol unit and it worked for them. Most of them pulled from after the amp as well. Some had problems with the noise canceling system and had to disable it. That might be part of your problem too.
