Subwoofers facing carbon fiber hatch

Hi

I was considering on getting a carbon fiber hatch to replace my stock hatch on my Ford Probe GT. Its a new product that a vendor for our cars recently made. We have to naturally swap the hatch glass and put it in the carbon hatch. Im not buying it for car weight reduction, more for apperance. It is about 15-20 lighter than the stock one though. In my hatch, I will be running 4 - 12" subs facing upwards. Sealed IDMAXs. The box/subs take up the whole rear hatch space. Would I notice a lot more rattling or issues with the material itself or should it be ok?

Just scroll down and you can see pics of it at this link. Its not my car, but will give ya an idea

Thanks

sounds like something you need tp explore personally.., instead of asking some people with no first hand experience.
Yeah I know. Just I thought there might be lots of other cars "possibly" with carbon hatches, although that is a slim chance. I dont see too many of those. I do see cf trunks though sometimes

Id like to experiment personally, but its not something thats only a few bucks, like a shifter or something. Its a fair investment

thats an odd car to try to make look cool //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifreal carbon fiber though is nice
I think cf is nice too, but have to disagree with ya on the car. 2nd gen. Probes look real nice if they are done right. The one in the link is an example of one

It would most likely come down to it's fitment. If it fits and secures exactly like the stock then there shouldn't be any extra rattling.

I would think that along the lines of having to move the glass and what not from the stock assembly you may end up with some new rattles. Not to mention that extra 15-20 pounds might help weigh the panel down a little bit more, and not allow as much rattle currently. However removing that 20 pounds might let that panel bounce around a little more.
