subwoofers dont play

ok i got a mach5 12 hooked up and its not working, actually none of my subs are working. theyre not in the box yet i tested the connection first and im glad i did cuz theres no sound from the woofers. the amp light is on, everything is connected, its grounded etc... but when i touch the wires to the woofer.. no sound. im using one channel of the amp to power the one 12". right now im just touching posotive to posotive, neg to neg just to see if it works. and nothing. its a DVC. any suggestions

yea. my headunit is working fine. the remote wire is connected

first take a battery and touch the +/- to the subs +/- and see if it makes a "pop" sound if it does its your amp, but if it doesn't its your sub thats fvcked.

make sure yournrca's are where they are supposed to be also check your poloarities you may be running your subs in a load you amp cant handle tell us what gear ur using mainly amps and subs

check RCA's, make sure headunit sub out is maximum, did you turn up the gain any ?

everything on the amp is all the way down i was going to tune it after i put the sub in. it worked fine last week with my other sub, that speaker blew tho it was a POS. the rca's were in the same place they are now.

If everything on the amp is down the sub probably wont do anything.

i ran a wire from the batter pos/neg to the pos/neg on the sub and there was no popping noise. the subwoofer is brand new i got it 2 days ago hasnt even been played yet

im using one mach5 12" and a pyle dryver 1000watt 2 channel amp. the amp light is on, everything works... but theres nothing from the subs. not even when i connect it to the battery, no "pop" noise. not on any of my subs

it might have to do with the fact that it is a pyle, those things arent worth a cent.
