Subwoofers DO put out power

Why wouldn't you only compare electrical input to electrical output when that relationship is the one you are worried about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

You're failing miserably at attempting to double-talk your way out of this.

You act like there is no lying in advertising....

Im not trying to talk my way out of anything, I care little about you or anyone on this forum with the exception of my entertainment.

Its like saying if my lawn gets mowed as a byproduct of my neighbor, did I really do the work? Its done, and its that what matters.

Exactly my point: HEAT AND WORK....
If they were one and the same why the need for both?
To differentiate between "heat work" and "mechanical work", for example.

Yes I know heat is work when transferred
And heat from the voice coil is transferred to the motor structure, as well as to either a phase plug or through the former and to the cone. So then we agree and all of your disagreeing has been completely useless!

Glad we finally got that settled.

On the contrary. It was quite entertaining to see you get all worked up on the internet.

So in that regard 'real work' was accomplished. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nowhere did I say they made power. And in fact NOTHING makes power in this universe anymore, it is all energy conversions. All the energy in the universe was there from the start, it is now just converting the form that that energy takes.

so my subs are wanging because of the big bang? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif thanks big bang

not to intrude, but based on what ive read here, i can theorize that heat can be harnessed and converted to mechanical work by way of convection, i believe a hot air balloon is a prime example, although i could way off base seeing that im not a physicist:confused:
There are actually a few ways you can harness heat and convert it to something useful. But until it is harnessed it is merely potential. At least in real world applications. Otherwise it is just loss. That was merely the point of the semantics in this thread.

That and I was bored.

with that said, ive got my noodle workin overtime pondering how the heat from say,..... a neo motor, could be harnessed and applied to a convection driven cooling system.... lol! i got alot of free time to think about ish like this

last time the coil is emmiting heat via efficency losses, the work is being done through the conductivity from the surrounding matter.. now a heating element which is used to DO work ie heat the food this would be correct..

NOW if your arguing the sake of the heat can be measured in thermal power ( the losses in the form of heat) it CAN be measured BUT more accurately calculated via the ratio of input electrical to losses in heat vs output electrial.. other than that its a loss and does NO work, in less yout calculating the amout of losses it does... ie power compression.........

thats retarted... air is a extremely poor conductor, just use copper very close to the coils, its one of the best conductors...

Yes, I was just getting my panties all in a wad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I wasn't even close to getting worked up in this thread. Watching you fumble all over yourself was quite entertaining, however.

You're pathetic. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
