Subwoofer

I have a dc lvl 4 12, it does real well on the 1500 watts it gets from a sundown saz 1500v3, two of them should do what you are looking for on a saz 3500. The dc's only need 1.5 cuft each, should sound decent for your set up, get a box tuned at 32hrtz. There are guys on here that can design/build a box for you. Good luck dude, also ssa icon's would do nice too.

To know is better is through experience and knowing the actual motor structure and voice coils inside the sub, basic spec sheets like sensitivity doesnt tell much. but the mojos will definitely hit harder than dub 7s. W7s leans towards SQ more than SPL/SQL. These underground brands arent really underground anymore, skar and sundown's almost mainstream already. The build quality very well done on most of these underground subs because a lot of them are made here in the US right when you order it, not mass produced in china. All the DB drag competitions i've been through, The loudest sub setups on music were digital designs, american bass and incriminator audios poor w7 guy didnt even get top 10 on the rankings but he did better in the SQ comp.
I'm really leaning towards the mojo 5 on a hiding a amp. I'm not looking to compete or anything. Just want something that will slam and hit hard on plan rap music. You think the mojo will be the best ? Personally I like them because there right in the power range I want to run.

mojo5s are good subs but Xcon DCs are lil beasts of their own and are a class above the mojo5 because that sub is only 1.1k rms memphis subs are underrated but so are DC, Sundown, SSA, FI, DD, you said you want 3.5k rms right? You should be going for the MojoX subs which will cost considerably more than the Xcon and DCs and will not necessarily be better sounding or louder. The competitions werent just bass burps, they are on music which means its more of an SQL. I honestly loved the SSA Dcon which are SSA's entry level sub and got extremely loud and sounded good on 300 rms and took more than double that amount on a burp solid made in USA quality.

No I wanted 3k rms total for my whole setup. That would include the woofer and components. I know that the dc, fi, sundown will be louder but if I run those it will put my total system at 3600+ rms and that's if I decide I run the rates power and not overpower them. I just really to compare the w7 against the mojo 5, mtx 9500, fi ssd, and digital designs 3512. The w7 and mtx I can get a deal on for a little over than half price. I'll let's you know below which amp ill use and please let me know which will slam the hardest on music.

W7- jl audio 1000/1v2 or hifonics brx2400

Mtx 9500 - hifonics brx2400 or hifonics be2500

Mojo5 - mojo 2200 or hifonics be2500

Fi ssd - hifonics brx2000 or hifonics be 2100

Digital designs 3512 - digital deigns m3b

if you can get a deal on the W7s, then go for it, it wont be the loudest setup but it'll slam more than loud enough for most people but it'll sound the smoothest and will work with any music. Pair it with the hifonics and you should be set. The rest of the power can go into midbass drivers and components which will make your system sound really good and balanced. Plus the W7s can work well in most boxes, its not too picky, make sure you go ported though and no cheap ebay/amazon prefabs.

Yeah I just have to wait and see what kind of exact price he can give me on the W7 and MTX. He told me it will be a little more than half on retail but he said don't quote him on it. I really dont want to pay full price on W7's. If that setup doesn't work out what set up you think I should go with? As far as the components I have already got them. For the front door its the JL Audio C5 3 way components and for the rear its JL Audio C5 2 way components running off the JL Audio HD600/4. Also Jeff I want to thank you for all your help. You have replied to all my questions. If you would mind from the list if you could put it in order from what you think will hit the hardest. I really want the W7 because it also have quality to it. If I cant get them then I know which setup to get.

Could you explain more? Like what about the new stuff isn;t as good as the old stuff.
re got bought out a few years back and for the most part the new stuff is no where near up to par with the older stuff.. theres always old re stuff popping up on here if u wana go that route ..and idk what ur payin for the mojos or the w7 ..unless its a steal i wouldn't bother to be honest

HDC3 get pretty nasty loud, so would American bass XFL which is in your power range too there's also the new threatcon 4 which are pretty ****** too http://www.caraudio.com/forums/c2-audio/584200-threatcon-4-12-pre-sale.html#post8441336

I wouldnt doubt the quality of these woofers anymore than the mojos, MTX or W7s because for the price of any of those three, you can get two - three of the other subs listed and they will pound as hard, if not harder than the mainstream stuff and will last a long time. It would come down to your budget really. Paying hundreds of dollars premium for an overrated name brand is not always the best choice unless you getting the Dub 7 for less than 350.
