subwoofer wiring

so im havin a hard time figuring out what guage wire i should use to wire my subwoofer. The sub is a D2 and will be wired to one ohm, about 2500rms to it so 1750 per coil. should i get like 2 ohm wires??

8, 10 or 12 gauge wire should be good.

8 gauge or 10 gauge would be your best bet. An your math was a little off, I think you meant 1250w per coil.

Wires themselves don't have to do with ohm loads, but it's how you use them.

yea sorry....that was my fail. But i just dont understand how power wires need like 1/0 guage and then the speaker wires are soo thin (8, 10, 12 guage)

Just be safe and go BIG. But yea the 8-12 is good.
