subwoofer set up , please help a newb

i have been running a 12w0 until recently, the sub is connected to the wire in teh box with a monster cable that has 2 flat +- plugs that slid right over the tabs on teh subwoofer

now i have a 12w3v3 and it has 2 pus h buttons in the back.

how do i attach the box wire to the sub. should i pull off the tabs from the box wire and push them through the buttons on the woofer

Cut off the ends of the wire and strip back the shielding.
