Subwoofer recommendation...

I need a new sub for my civic...

I think I want either 2 12's or 1 15"...

I want more spl than sq, and I have a viper 1200.1 for power. 1100x1@1 ohm, and 800x1@ 2 ohms

And is there anybody that thinks I can get a single 18" inm the trunk?

ANy suggestions are welcome...I need something that will fit my power range.

the RE SX is a loud sub, I loved mine... didn't sound horrible and really nailed the deep bass notes. It is going to be tough to find one though. A comparable sub IMO is the Type R 15. I didn't notice a huge difference other than the R looks more durable. Both handle decent power. A decent budget sub is the comp vr 15. You could save some power by running it at 2 ohms. It gets pretty loud off of less power.

2 15s are a b!tch and half to get in a civic, and they completley ruin any space you may have.

Go with 12s.

I loved the 2 12" SX's when I had em in my trunk.

*edit saw you only wanted 1 15, ignore that part.

Yes you can fit a single 18 in there, and I happen to have a Fresh Reconed FI Q 18 dual 2 for sale.

anyways get 2 12s if your looking for spl... FI, TC, RE, Treo Engineering are all companies you should look into

I think i have decided on going with 2 12's ported...but I am still open to suggestions.
