subwoofer output messed up

Recently i noticed that one of my subs wasnt working and me not being an expert, took it to get it checked out. My worry was that the sub was blown or the amp was messing up. The guy there said both were fine and that the problem was either in the rca cables or something wrong with the subwoofer output in the head unit.

I bought new rca cables and that wasnt the problem. Has anybody hard of this happening before? Unfortunately my warranty ran out about 3 months ago so i cant just send it back. Any advice would be appreciated

Yeah I have the same problem. But mine is due to the fact that when I sold my amplifiers a while back, I forgot to turn off the subwoofer output, and well the RCA's grounded out and burned out my subwoofer channel. Try changing out the rca from the subwoofer channel to the rear channel. And if both work then get a HU.
