Subwoofer options?

For the first part the season coming up I'm going to be running a pair of DC Xlm2 12s on 2 Ampere 3800.1s.........I know that's way more then enough power then I need for the pair ATM. I'm looking for a pair of 12s that like boxes 4cf & smaller that could take both amps.

Any suggestions?

I was thinking about it......actually was the first sub that came to mind, was just trying to see if there was others that fit what I need.

Depending what you wire to just run the xl's. Wired to 1ohm each in the right box its about perfect power for them.

My box right now is 3.5cf tuned to 34.88hrtz..... also there dual 1.4s I guess I could just run one to each sub an gain match.

Series paralell them and strap amps at 1.4 (0.7 each)

Ray (dc98hoe, idk if hes on this forum) was clamping 3k per sub on his xl's, this was on the original xl's. He did recone a few times, but he was a major competitor... on music he had no problem demoing.

With rise you will be clamping around 2k each you should be fine.

I've had good luck with box rise in the past highest I can remember I had was like 0.9 increase of rise on my 3kwp clamped well over 2k out of it. I'll just roll with the 2 amperes see how it goes an go from there.

I could do that once I get my electrical up some more might be best option for now I'll just run them at 1.4 on the one amp an break them in.
