first is this normal usually i see the outside being rubbed on and not the inside ? and when i replace with new cone does the positive and negative matter?

Any rub is not good but inner is better than outer when picking a coil i always choose a tighter inner gap than outer.

Nightshade recones or standard? Standard are nice but the nightshade work great.

I was told there was no upgrades becuz they're 12" , only upgrades was for 15 or 18

Positive on the left, negative on the right. That is an industry standard.

Well luckily my terminals are color coded..lol I just didn't know if it mattered on the cones when I get them
