Subwoofer Making Popping Noise?

I just put my sealed boxes back in and tuned my system and popped in a bass mekanik cd and realized that when i play a test tone as i turn the volume up i hear a popping noise everytime i turn the volume up or down. However, if i am listening to my normal rap music i can turn the volume up and down with no popping. So why does it make this noise when playing test tones? I do not even have the volume loud it is just when ever i adjust the volume it makes a popping noise.

Nobody have any idea what this could be? They are Orion P Series 15's

are you sure that your subs are making the noise and not your mids???

No i just listened to it and it does appear to be the mids

My system does the exact same thing. It comes from the mids......I was wondering what the hell also....

only bass cd's do that.......... mine and everybodys elses system that ive popped a bass mechaniks cd in makes that noise when the volume is raised or lowered, the popping comes from all the speakers that are wired to the deck so i've always believed it had something to do with just BASS on a cd b/c no other songs do it.... but its never hurt anything that i know of so i just ignore it
