Subwoofer level VS bass boost?

just wondering if there was a difference in the 2? my bass boost will go up to 6+ but my subwoofer level can go up to like 16. Any info on which to use?

Depends on the deck. On Alpines the sub level controls preout voltage.

Bass boost just eats up amplifier power.keep it turned down...bass boost just boosts the frequency... the gain is more like a "volume "control.
