subwoofer install ?

hi i made a box for a jl 12 inch w6 i was just wondering when installing the speaker in the box do i need to put anything between the speaker edge and the mdf of the speaker box. i just thought maybe their was somekind of rubber or something to seal it better or maybe nothing is needed ? thanks for the help

Yea the sub would not have a great seal against bare mdf . Any soft rubber stripping will do fine in this situation . Also using a small amount of window caulking will work . Window caulking because it keeps a very soft consistency and will be easy to take the sub back out if needed ..

you could try the strip caulk stuff.

It should work fine with nothing. If you notice any leaks then extra measure may be taken to stop the leak
