subwoofer in the ceiling

I just thought it was really clean, and I thought it would sound better? Correct me if I'm wrong? I am going to be buying a house end of this year beginning of next and want to do a custom home theatre, so I will be asking a lot of questions in the future since I know NOTHING.

well from my experiance there is much to be gained by putting them firing where the rest of the drivers are...otherwise they have a tendencey to be easy to localize...

what if you mount the sub in the ceiling but enclosed it in a sealed box?so in essence its just a sealed box type, mounted to the ceiling.... anyone feel me on this one?
yea thats what I was thinking about, building a box for 2 15" sealed and having it fire down into the room with grill cloth covering it.

NO, it is NOT a sealed box in the attic. You use the entire attic/basement/whatever as the enclosure, and the wall/ceiling ans the baffle that separates the front wave from the back wave.
