Hi, im new here was wondering if you could help me decide between some subs.

DD1512 DD1500 Series Subwoofers - DDAudio.com | Digital Designs : Speakers Made in the USA

vs

Fi SSD12 https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=154c41646dc1f1e/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0040_SSD/product_overview.shopscript

vs

Audioque SDC2.512 Audioque: Street Duty: SDC2.5

Music=Rap/rock

Im looking for a sub that going to be loud when it needs to be but also has SQ. I want peoples input on these 3 subs and if you know of any others in similar price range/RMS range feel free to throw those ideas out there to. I wanna know likes, dislikes advantages of one sub over the other anything along those lines trying to get as much input as possible so i can make a well educated descion.

i aslo would like to know the advantages of have 2 subs vs 1

Thank you and I will look into those subs. I do understand that 2 subs = more surface area and power but what i am asking is what surface area vs rms does for loundness/soundpressure/sq

I have not heard any of them, and i would say u cant go wrong with any of them but personally i doubt the DDs will provide good SQ. However lots of people run dd on here.

Lots also run FI, and though i have never heard them i would say i would go with these over the DDs. I think the ssd's will have decent SQ because they list them as a daily driver sub and not a max spl sub.

I have an AQ amp so perhaps im biased but i like the amp, its better than the other amps i have used, so i believe they will make quality subs. Now i asked them about the SDC2.512 and they said tune it 34-35 and it will be perfectly fine for rock/metal.

they will all get loud no doubt, so i guess if i were to buy one of those i would go FI for SQ, but thats just a guess as ive never heard any of them

Hypothetically:

Doubling power adds 3db, doubling surface area adds 3 db.

3db is the human perception of a noticeable change.
