amp adjustments for cleaner bass sound.....

Recently had subwoofer and amp installed ( Memphis audio 10in subs in ported box 250 rms/500pk with Memphis audio 1100 watt class D amp) Problem is I do not like buzzy bass or radiating bass. I prefer clean, hard hitting bass. I would like to know what adjustments I need to make on my amp to accomplish this? The box I have is ported and I realize I may not get what I am wanting, but for the time being it is what it is and can't stand the buzz.

On the back of my amp there is an input sensitivity slider button, gain knob, LPF knob, subsonic knob, bass boost, and phase shift slider button. If anyone can give me some idea of where to set these to obtain the sound I'm wanting it would be great!

make sure bass boost is off or at 0.

is your setup running at 4ohms? if not the amp could be way overpowering the subs which will sound really bad.

try playing with the gain if u want, turn it down a little at a time and see if it changes the sound and if it helps. if it doesnt help put it back where it was.

Enclosure is my first guess for the source.

What is it tuned to? how much airspace? How much port area?

Also, if you could define "buzz" some more, that could help. Not entirely sure the problem which makes it hard to find the solution //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
