subwoofer help please

I have a sundown sa8 d2 v2 at medium to high volume sounds great but when I put it at somewhat low volume the sub stops moving and makes a crackling sound....I'm powering it with 1000 "real watts" any help would be great thanks

Lightly press on the center of the sub check for a rubbing scratching sound..could be voice coil goin bad if you.ve been giving it 1000rms

If you push down on it its fine and its brand new

recheck all the wires ,make sure they are good ,if the problem still prosists then its prolly some kind of mechanical issue and call sundown for a warranty

Id call sundown but also what the other guys said, probably the spider glue
