Subwoofer HELP GETTIN BACK IN THE GAME!!!

Been away from the system scene for quite a while and shit has changed a LOT in just the few years ive been away...anyways im gettin back in the game and use to run an audiobahn flame compression AW1208T 12 with a fury amp of some sorts (?cant really remember) in a custom built vented box that filled my rangers supercab ...i would like to surpass what i had with my audiobahn which i loved...I have been looking around and cant really decide but came across the Planet Audio BB212D and it caught my attention, a friend of mine that did SPL comps use to talk about them a good bit although he runs a DD.... Are the Planet Audio Subs still as good as they used to be? Is there another sub and amp combo anyone would suggest? and ill be fillin the back of my ranger with this next setup and looking for a one sub and amp combo that BANGS!!!! PLEASE HELP

15" type r would be one of the cheapest subs at about $200 bucks and my friend had a zx2500 on one and won many competitions.

look into Audioque, DC sound labs, Digital Designs, Sundown Audio, Incriminator Audio, Memphis MOJO's, all of those are quite popular at bass competitions. and they are fairly priced for the amount of high quality parts and customer service you get with most of those companies.

ok, im looking for a one 12" setup kinda like what i had with my audiobahn...my audiobahn was runnin somewhere between 1200-1500 peak ( dont take my word for it, i cant remember lol) but yea i guess im just lookin for 1 12 i can run about 2000 peak....not looking to spend DD money though, although id love to have a DD...but just need a amp/sub combo...

audioque are priced fairly cheap and you could get one 12 and get a 1500-2000 watt amp.

aint really thought of it but guess dont wanna spend no more than 600 on a speaker...maybe a lil more...hell ill spend whatever i have leftover from student loans on it anyways lol

Are you looking for sound quality or something that hurts the back of your head? Elemental Designs has a sub & amp combo for $515. It's a 13". Power Acoustik had a sub called FX-10w from their FX series. It run for about $55-110 and is the best sounding sub I've ever tested. Personally the Power Acoustik amps are cheap in price and sound cleaner than most out there. Much clean than Audiobahn... to bad they went under.

man i dunno, if i do just as good( but wanna do better) as my audiobahn setup ill be happy bc that bastard shook shit loose i didnt know i had in my truck!!! but yea im looking for some decent sq with some head hurting capabilities....anyone run a Planet Audio BB212D, Alpine SWX-1243D, or Memphis 15-M3MOJO12? The PA n Memphis just look more durable to me than the alpine but hell i dunno and the only reason i ask about the PA is a buddy of mine that ran SPL comps use to swear by them and ive always known memphis to be pretty bad ***...anyways i guess one of these 3 is what im leaning torward unless anyone else can chime in on something better, and i did check out the Audioque HDC312 and that may be a possibility...

So Im guessing 2K rms for 1 12 sub. I love my HDC3s to death, and their hugely underrated. I know its way better than autobahn, and it want cost you an arm and a leg neither.
