alpinr 1241d type-r 12"

jbl px600.2 amp

Make sure the subwoofer control is not on 0 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif You can do that by pressing the Volume nob in and scroll to sub-w and then turn it up...youll hear some boom after that .

turned the subwoofer control on the hu up, its not wired at 8 ohms, all connections are good, rcas are plugged in, still can barely tell its on. anything else?

Do you know how to use a volt meter? Start at the battery and go back, I did one setup where i used a 80amp glass fuse and it acted as a resistor. I had 14 volts going to it and about 1.7 after it.

just checked the voltage and its fine, and yes its in a box

it seems like the amplifier is not amplifying. all power connections to it are fine and it turns on but its like there is no output. checked the fuses too and they are all working.

its like my headunit is powering the sub and not the amp.

do you have any other subs/amps to test with

try:

1) different sub with that amp

2) different amp with that sub

also, check the filter - is it set to high pass?
