Subwoofer Fatigue

I've noticed that when I meter my HD3, it does good on the first burp, then a couple tenths less on the next few. Why does this happen? Is it a characteristic of mostly all subs?! It's kinda pissing me off that a "Made in America" (which infers good quality) sub does this. It is a great woofer, but the fatigue is killing me.

voltage reduction in the system + thermal compression of the coil due to heating..
Loyd L.
With the car off it is likely related to both power compression and the battery draining.
With the car on it is likely just the coils being hot.
Thanks for the explaination.

btw... how much you hittin on that tl now?
I did a 143.7 car on, 143.4 car off, and an official score of 142.7 car off. All scores at headrest per MECA AS1 rules. What's weird is their mic was reading a lot higher than mine. Also, I did the 143.4 after doing a little burp then turning the car off right afterwards. I did the 142.7 right after I charged the battery. Weird.

Oh yeah, why you calling your amp a Pyle? Lol did it take a shit?
