Subwoofer choice

I have two 700-800 watt rms amps and am looking for two 12" subwoofers that can handle the power and be really powerfull. I previously had two of the old stroker 12" DVC but i have had a problem with them popping if the volume is turned up too loud.

I am currently thinking about the new 124 stroker (not the pro series) or possibly the Alpine SWX-1242D Type-X 12".

Anyone have any suggestions. I want to be able to crank up the music without that annoying popping sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

nah the old strokers need more power than that, hell, in my van, before I bought it, one of the setups in it was 4 18" strokers, getting somewhere in the neighborhood of 24000 watts hahaha, they didnt like it too much but they took it, the previous owner got lots of rebuilds through cv . . . .

try 2 id max 12's, that kind of power would be just right for them as long as the gains are kept in check. Im surprised no one said try Fi yet hehehe, maybe try Stereo Integrity, heard they have some nice woofers . . . .
