well i recently took my daily driver (bagged 89 std cab s10) off the road to make it a full time project/show vehicle. right before removed it as my daily i jammed 6 re 8's in my cab ported tuned to 30 hz. i love them they get pretty loud for their size.

well i recently bought a camper top to put on it and my project for this summer that i would like to have done before october. is do a blowthrough with the back window and put a crazy system in it. not really wanting to spend more then 4-5 grand on all this.

i was thinking either 36 re 8's ported and 6 hifonics bx100d or maybe 6 18's not sure what kind.

my problem is i want it to get as loud as possible. while still having a shock factor to it (reason for the 36 8's) because i will be taking this to car shows. sound quality is a minor thing at this moment i just want it to get loud.

anyone have any ideas or input on what i could possible do to just shock the hell out of people.

i was thinking something like 2 300 amp alts and quite a few batterys

edit and the budget is not set in stone i can go a little higher then that. there is an local audio store that said they would be willing to help out with some odds and ends (wire, and connectors misc stuff)

36 8's would be badass, and hellacious loud in the right install.

Well in theory the 18's have about 280 less square inches of cone area but once you take into acount usuable cone area (negate things like the surround and what not, its probally pretty close. I think the 18's would actually be easier to get louder cause if you start dealing with 30+ drivers you are gonna have to worry about cancelation between drivers as well as your design for the box is gonna get far trickier and as said before, you better have a *****ing charging system

6 SI Mags 15", with 3 incriminator audio 20.1s.

Put it in a 18-20 cube box tuned in 30hz range with 300 Sq inches of port...

Would hit the lows like crazy.
