Currently i have a 15in type r in 3.5 cubic foot box tuned to 30hz, im looking to get a new sub, becasue on my ap1800D wired at 1 ohm, it cant take much over 500rms without me smelling it burning, it slams but of course i want more, how much more of a increase in loudness will i get from a type r to one of these 2 subs

Audioque HDC3

Fi Q

Also, i have 6 Guage wiring ATM, will it give me more bass if i upgrade to knuk 0 guage and some better rcas?

def. going to want to swap to 0 gauge before you do anything.
just curious, i was recommended on here to get 4ga and from alpine to get 4ga for my two alpine type R subs along with the alpine m1000 amp. do you think im not getting full power out of my 4ga wire? i can turn the gain up to 80% and make the subs start to pop from bottoming out, surely thats a sign of pushing them to the limit right? therefore 4ga is a fine size for myself and OP?

An aq hdc is a beast as far as spl is concerned. I would call an Fi Q a sq sub with fair output. I think the R will provide more output then the Q...As far as the box, the lower the tuning, the less of a peak you have. I think peaky boxes are ****, but it is possible to tune at say 35-37 and make a one note wonder that absolutely slams somewhere in the high 40s...And 4g is rated at 125a so long as the run is less then 16ft or so..
