I just got a new perfect 12.1 4 ohms svc and I want to make sure I'm not doing anything stupid to it. I have a lanzar opti drive series two amp that puts out 480 watts rms bridged 4 ohms as 12.5v. I have it sealed in a 1.25 cubic foot(before displacement) box. Should I keep the amp's level at half for a while or should I just let it play out? I hear these subs arent too hard to blow.. are they more likely to blow sealed or ported? Is ~500 watts rms too much for this sub? Is there a better box design for higher power? Thanks

this sub only calls for 350rms tops and from what i understand the ones that blown werent to far off from that id go 300 and enjoy um
