also, is there a recommended amp for the type r subs, as the amp is the main thing im struggling with to work out, how to know weather it is the right power/wattage for the sub at the moment, cause noone has really explained it to me, i now know that the real power with subs is the RMS however with amps im still a tad confused, and the money for the system is coming from my old car which i sold, so i could probably save up a little extra dollars. if needed to. though from my weekly earnings i dont get much in savings;.

thats alright, sonic electronixs will probably be the way i will go anyway, what powered amp would be required to run 1 type r alpine 500W RMS also what do people think to a box with the dimensions:

Height : 14inch

Width: 19inch

Depth: 9inch

the reason for the tiny depth is because of the boot space in my car.

Yeah the amp sounds fine, just get as close as possible to 500 rms. Type-r's are pretty power hungry. Dimensions sound pretty good as well, good luck on everything!

thanks, is there anything you could tell me what i must avoid or what is an essential to do, i will not be installed the stuff myself, just making the box, which i will probably make without the hole and get the fella who is installing it to cut it to fit.

Well the only thing I would advise you about on making the box is make sure you fill all the cracks really well and screw it together really well because if the box isn't sturdy then bad stuff could happen. Also just make sure the person installing it uses the right size wire, probably 4awg for your install. Good luck
