Subwoofer box- bolts for terminal connector?

As stated in the title, i see people using bolts as terminal connectors in sub boxes? can someone explain?

most use for looks, i will use one because it makes me feel like its better sealed than say a 1 inch drilled hole.... for term cup

most spl ppl use it for ohm load ease. so u dont have to take the sub out to wire it down. mines like that. 1.4 then switch a couple wires then poof, .35

Agreed. Makes it very easy to seal off.

easy to seal, stays connected better than the push tab terminals and looks alot better IMO

Any specific bolt? or just regular stainless? I would imagine i dont need grade 8, although thats all i have laying around.

Stainless isn't the best conductor, but it works. Can be achallenge to find something else

This is the reason I used bolts also... Works great
