I'm trying to install 2 12in subs but I have a hummer h3 and it comes with a factory monsoon sub and amp. I also have a aftermarket hu and when I tried to connect the remote power wire to the HU the blue remote power wire on the HU is already connected to a wiring harness? So I cut the wires and connected the remote wire to the blue wire on the wiring harness. After I got everything installed my amp won't turn on and subs won't work. I read somewhere that my stock amps power my speakers on my car. So I'm alittle confused. The speakers and factory sub works but my new amp and sub won't turn on. What can I do to fix this? And this is my first time installing a sub

Use a dmm or test light to see if there's power to the amp. If there is, then test the blue lead coming out of the hu. Usually the remote wire is blue/white. What kind of hu is it? Did you use rca or high level input?

It's a pioneer fh-x700bt and I'm using RCA. The blue wire on the HU is connected to the wiring harness it's not free. So can I twist the blue wire together with the remote and crimp it to the wiring harness wire?
