My Friend has a new Jetta, and is debating wether he should get 2 10's 2 12's or 1 12". He can't make up his mind about anything. What are your views on this type of vehicle. He doesn't want to spen anymore than around 600$.

No,, 600$ total for sub(s), amp, and box he really wants sound quality too.

maybe go with 1 good 10" subwoofer. it would be better to have 1 really good ones than 2 really crappy ones

Well For sure a sealed enclosure , There are many sub choices out there , Most of them will sound good with a good install

Where will he be buying his items from ???

Probably ebay, or etronics or something. He is thinking about to 12 inch kicker comp vr's or 2 type S 12". i think these subs would work great. What do you think?

Wouldnt be my first choice for sound quality subs , I have heard the comp vrs , Not a good sounding sub , Type S is OK , Type R is much better , If he has 600 for these items he can do much better than that !!

2 Type R 10's Under $200 .

1 Soundstream rub 500.1 under $200

$200 left for box and a decent set of comps for the front !!

Yeah, I Have heard the two subs, and the Type R's hit harder and clearer. So Ebay is the best deal to go on the price?

yea most likely. try either that soundstream amplifier or maybe a JBL 600.1. get a good install and box (build your own). 2 type r 10s would be nice

Yeah i know,,,, type R's do have better sound quality than comp vr's.,,.,. i don't denie that.
