you have to keep in mind that the l5 is not as loud a sub as the l7, and even though there are 2 more there is half as much power, so it would be hard to tell. i would go with 2 l7's becuase no matter what it will get loud as shit and it will take less space. but definitely go ported no matter what you pick.

i think the subs are similiar enough that by this point it will be more about the cone area advantage youll get with the 4 12s.. but both will be loud, and i doubt either will be a whole lot louder than the other, so i say pick more based on the space available and cost, and other things liek that.
