subs wont sound like speakers

hey,

i have 2 swiss audio spl-1290's running off of an orion 800.2 which is connected to my alpine cda-9853, now i just hooked these subs up and i have all the crossovers set on correctly i think, but the sub sounds just like a speaker like its making middbass and somehigh, not loud, i cant figure out whats wrong. Do you think its my head hunit or have i somehow screwed up these subs?????

Sounds like you don't have the subs lowpassed.

turn off the hpf, and set the lpf for 60hz.

set your ssf 1 octave below box tuning. if box i sealed, yurn ssf off or all the way down

k heres what i have i built a sealed box that 1.8 cubic feet, no i think i have the high pass crossover on the amp off, but im not sure exactly on this deck the thing is a ***** to tune

yea lol i think you have the crossover on "through" or something... happened to me once... the sub was playin cymbals. freaky stuff
