My HDC3 had pretty good cooling. Was sending it roughly 1500w clamped and it took it for a while before it started to get a little smelly (that is, playing songs that have constant bass lines like Juice Box, thug motivation, etc.)

i can talk to bob about getting some hd's (hdc3 with an ab logo) but im not sure how the cooling is on them.

The dual 1's have a big gap and plenty of space in the basket for air flow. You can even recone them to a 3" 8 layer if you wanted to.. @SPLaudio; has good pricing on them

Different coil options do not have different gap options. The motors are all the same.

There was a different gap for a small run of HDC3 subs with the new frame, but the gap was altered back to the OG size. Alum/Copper doesn't matter. They are the exact same from AQ with different coil material..nothing else is different.

To much even with a "connection" that you might have. Best you will see is dealer pricing.
