Subs wired at 2 ohm with bridged 4 ohm amplifier

The sub is wired to 2 ohms and the amp is bridged. Is this safe? or will i blow something.

On Crutchfield where it says the amp is 4ohm stable when bridged - that means it's not 2ohm stable. You need a different amp. If you're just using it for subs, then get a class D mono amp.

but he only has 1 sub, and if thats at 2 ohms he is only running 1 channel which is 175 rms

or he has a 2 ohm sub actually bridged at 4 ohms (not 2 like he thinks) and he is still ok

yes. hence them not recommending a 2 ohm load.
