Subs that cannot be run free-air/IB

So I'm thinking my install for the winter will be a newly purchased old-school Lanzar LP15 single 8ohm sub run IB sitting in the tire well of my civic (before you ask how it will be just sitting it will be mounted to a wooden under-floor) so I can have a usable trunk. The guy I bought it from said it could be run IB I just can't put alot of power to it (which won't be a problem since its an 8ohm sub). But I know myself, and I'm liable to change the sub for the IB install at some point. I wanted to know what subs or kinds of subs are absolutely a no-no for running free-air/IB so I won't use them in my next install and damage them. All help is appreciated, thanks

its going to look and sound like absolute shit . it wont even look remotly good. you should hang the woofer up on fishing string to make this POS project be more interesting. ok im am done till i can find more shit to say

i say you shoud hang the woofer on yarn or wire. to make it look weird. just my 2 cent. im joking bro it should come out decently ok depending how much time you take making the clean up on the project. but yeah suspended woofer FTMFW
