Im not a big rock fan but some songs i just love. Most of them have a double bass in them. And yeah rap nowadays isnt all that good without a system, but i could tunr on some rakim, 2 pac, and run dmc and listen to that without a sub becuase lyrically there so much better than the shit people are putting out today.

well dont get me wrong. im not into that yehaw hillbilly depressin sh!t. most of the country i listen to is more along the lines of country rock. MOST of it. sometimes its a slow country song but very rarely.

Only with good recordings though. Some bands i listen to have bad recordings, so it sounds all distorted and all in one burp instead of 100000 double bass hits.

Try Whiskey Lullaby, can't recall who sings it, some deep bass on that one in spots....I find myself listening to a bit more country these days as well, which is ironic, as I used to be a nothing but rap and techno guy. The guitars sound excellent now that I have my eq set up how I like it....and the bass is pretty solid as well. I notice alot of people associate subwoofers with ricey cars, so much to the extreme that I have been called a ricer for having a sub, and I drive a ford explorer. Anyone get this too? People also think subs are only for rap, like its the only music that has bass. People ask if I can turn it off for "real" music, like subs are designed for rap.

My truck is a v-8 ...usually ricers are considered 4 cylinders with fart cans.. Not subwoofers. Nobody has yet to call me ricer.
