subs = ricey ...wtf

I notice alot of people associate subwoofers with ricey cars, so much to the extreme that I have been called a ricer for having a sub, and I drive a ford explorer. Anyone get this too?

People also think subs are only for rap, like its the only music that has bass. People ask if I can turn it off for "real" music, like subs are designed for rap.

so, for my sake, turn off the **** rap and dont put subs in riced out cars.

yeah i don't get called a ricer, but the rap thing gets everyone. obviously rap has bass, but so does other music. people are always like "I don't listen to rap, why would I get a system?" but whatever, i will enjoy my music and they won't

that's pretty dumb... though I'd have to say I listened to 0 rap before I owned a sub... now I listen to it about 1/3 of the time I'm driving...

haha i just have to mention the story. I come into school with my system on. I, accidentaly and to my mistake, pull up to where all the joes play their systems and lean on their cars with their arms crossed just nodding their head up and down in the morning. The retarded thing is that they dont have systems, they are all stock speakers that distort at whispers. I told them get some real stuff in there and the replies are always the same, mine is so much better than yours. I leave it at that...
