subs playing white noise ?!!?!

when i pl;ug my subs up to the amp it plays a white noise. But it still plays the music??? Whats going on?

they are 12" kicker cvrs 4 dual ohm

i turned the volt down to -20 and now its not as loud can it be to much voltage?

the voltage my amp is reading is 12.6-13

i think i found the reason.... im running12g grounding wires.... i know im stupid
