Subs overpower my factory setup. Time to upgrade

Normally these questions would usually piss me off but I can see that you definitely seem to COMPLETELY misunderstand me.1. I dont need my car to be "ghetto loud" (whatever that is) but the purpose of me installing a sub in my trunk was to add the thump that I wanted to hear and "listen" to. I think its obvious I'm not trying to be the loudest guy on the block being that my system consist of a TYPE R 10 on about 900w(now that will make ears bleed huh????).

2. I DO NOT blast my music at red lights because a) It is pretty **** annoying and flat out makes me full dumb and b) I dont feel like I need to paint a bullseye on my car for the next theft victim. The majority of my bumping is done on the highway where only I get to enjoy my beat.

What did you not understand about my interior speaker just simply being too weak? Pretty simple concept. I do appreciate all the advice you've given me in the thread but your second point about my "stop light neighbors" really pissed me off.
Hey man, I posted those questions because you posted this:

Plus whats the purpose of having the bass in the trunk if you have to turn it down so low.
Based on your response, I guess I did misunderstand you, and for that I apologize. My questions were posted partly in jest and not meant to be taken completely literal, as I was just trying to figure out if you were a bass-above-all head (you know the familiar comments we see here often: "I hav a xplod that is teh lowwdist!") or, someone that is truly wanting a nicely performing complete audio system. I can see now that you are the latter. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Long day at work and I think I had a little steam to let it off. My bad. It drives me crazy when certain people roam the board looking for the opportunity to flame somebody so I kinda took it the wrong way.

Back to the topic at hand. The RSD's and probably the profile amp are the direction are probably gonna go. I'm gonna cruise the classified to see if I can find something better but I think it would do a great job amp anyway for the price.

Just a quick note.... I think I saw a Profile AP1040 amp in the FS section.

Rated for 4x80w rms @ 4 ohms and 2x225w rms @ 4 ohms bridged. Might be worth checking out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Let us know what you get, and how they sound when you get it installed. And post pics of your new setup, too!
Will do!!

Cant wait for a review!
Me neither

I'm looking at this one and a diamond amp for sale on here. I listed them below. tell me what you think. Also if you wanna help with the install Omaha is only 2 1/2 hours away. I could take a trip down there one weekend.

I'm looking at the the PG RSD's. From reading on the board they seem to be the Type R's of the component world based on price and performance. I looked on ebay and saw some on there for $90 shipped and I could also do authorized from onlinecarstereo for $129. Is this the best deal out there for components within my budget?
ask dave moore (TeamPSI on here) if he can hook u up with some RE RE comps. i got a pair from him for 125 shipped and im very happy with how they sound. especially for that price
