Subs on a budget?

As I have noticed in recent trips to this site, there are more brands out there than what our 1 audio shop carries. Besides Wal-Mart and Autozone of course.

I need an idea of good, CLEAN, long-lasting subs that i can but on the cheap.

Price: less than $100 each

A 10" sub is the largest that will fit into my car. Period. I can run 3 10's across, but my trunk is only 13" from floor to lid. I would like to go with 1 decent SQ sub sealed? or ported around 25hz. I have unlimited acces to swapping ampilfiers, up to a point. What would give me a nice sound and not break the bank? I don't care about SPL and showing off, but I do want to be able to feel it. If I go with a single 10", I'd allow myself up to 200 for a real nice sub in my car.

For the old Explorer, them Pyles are coming out soon. An offer was made that I find hard to refuse. There really is no limit on space in the back, as I pull a utility trailer and do not use the hatch area. I want to rumble the ground with lows (still on a budget here), and have nice sound as well, though not as focused on SQ as my car.

Give me some ideas on the swap, Ill have $500 to play with on both cars, MDF and labor are free.

My lastet install is as budget as I ever went and it has surprised the shit out of me. Only had it in for a little bit, but I don't know if it is in the install or what, but it slams and sounds good doing it.

I bought the cheapest line of Autotek amps out there in the SM1-1000RMS Street Machine amp and running it on 2 of the cheaper Pioneer Premier Championship series subs 400rms each and a el cheapo Lanzar crossover and I am easily in the 140db range, which is plenty loud for most people.

Subs were 65 bucks each shipped and call for .75-1.75 per sub on the 12. The 10, I am not sure. I enjoy these subs more than my type R's, which I liked as well. They sound very good too and have them running sealed currently to save room.

I like those, but I think I like the HDC310-A more if I run only 1 sub. Those SD2 are very nicely built woofers for $99.

How do they hold up long term, and what is the quality of sound. I need a smooth driver, not only loud.

It doesnt tell me the impedence on the HDC subs, are they dual 4 or 2? I have a Memphis 1000d that is about 1100rms at 1ohm--perfect on a dual 2 HDC 10. Its only $219, so a single sub setup with that would save me money and provide great sound I'd hope.

a phoenix gold rsdc or an ed11Ov.2 used?
I have a phoenix gold RSDC 12" and it is amazing A++ but its more than 100.00 per sub. but if installed correctly, you will only need one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
