What direction to go? 2 12"s or one large moofer?

I currently have (2) sundown 1500's and 1 Mach 5 spl 12" ... I want more deebeez so should I pick up another mach 5 spl 12" or try to fit a 15/18 in the back of a ford focus hatchback? Thing is 4 cubes would be cutting it very close...

I'm thinkin (2) Mach 5 spl 12"s would love 2 strapped sundowns @ 2ohms, and they are beefy woofers, but would mayby like a 15" BTL or MT do good also?

sell the 1500 and put a AQ 2200 on each one to gain deebees - my hodge-podge opinion thrown at your randomly from perfect stranger who hasnt run a SPL12 or a AQ2200 before.

LOL

More power and cone area with a correctly done install yields Deebees most of the time.

Definitely go with one beefy 15, like an HDC315 or a BTL or MT. I've always liked single sub setups more. Plus, if you go with a 15, there's no additional power required and bam, instant ~3db.

I helped skmfkr go from an HDC312 to an HDC315 in his Fit and he gained a little over 3db. No extra power, just new sub and box.

How is one SPL 15" sub with two 1500rms amps not enough for you in a "hatchback!" That thing should be killing your car.

Something has to be wrong for you not to think that is a loud setup, or you are beyond a bass-head, lol!

Is your electrical up to par in your car? Might be not seeing the power due to that. I would at least do a 200amp alty on some 0/1g wire and the big 3 with a couple of dry cells in the back.
