subs not hittin liek they should

i have two audiobahn AWC12t subs and a RF p3301 amp. All of my firends say taht my subs should be hitting harder than they are now. Im suign 4 ga to my am pand 8 ga for th ground. i have a pioneer 7600, is ther any setting i should set on my HU or on my amp taht would help or even different wiring? Also, waht frequency would thse subs hit best at?

Did you upgrade your battery to chassis ground?

That 8 gauge wire you are using for ground sends the electrical current through the cars chassis and up to the batterys negative terminal through a little 10 gauge wire, failing to upgrade this wire can limit your amps performance.

box, ported? or sealed? and please get rid of the 8ga. ground and put in 4.
