I just bought a used 99 Ford Taurus and wanted to install some subs that I used in my previous two cars. However, when I got everything hooked up and attached the power cable to the battery the subs fired up with no music and made a loud roaring noise (feedback I'm assuming?)
I have two 10inch Alpine Type S Speakers and I use an Alpine MRP-M350 Amp.
This setup worked just fine with the other two cars I used it in, however I used aftermarket head units in both of those cars, and this time I am using the stock head unit. I knew I'd have to get a line out converter so I bought an Install Edge IEC AULOC from Best Buy. I hooked it into both my rear 6x9 speakers and ran the RCA cables to my amp. The ground from the amp is attached to the chassis by a bolt under the trunk carpeting.
I'm pretty green when it comes to this stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
