Subs Limit

where in ny are you from?

it could be many things. what kind of car do you have? if your driving a big boat with a sealed trunk and you heard it before in a hatchback....theres your reason. Could be the enclosure....maybe theres a small air leak. maybe your gains on your amp are set to low? there are many things that it could be....you have to give us more info.

I drive an acura tl, but i tool the stock sub out and i usually always drive with the armrest in the center down, allowing air to pass through both spots. The JBL amp has three nobs, imput level, the frequencies or crossover thing, and bass boost. Im not exactly sure what the bass boost does, any help?

Bass boost (as I've seen it work) seems to increase the gains.. it says it's 18 dB boost.. but what does that mean? not sure.. since it doesn't say for what frequency, etc.. (18 dB for my boost anyway)..

HU could matter.. pre-amp voltage difference, causing gains to be different.. different amps.. etc etc..
