Subs L7's and L5's

HEy i was on online cr stereo and i saw s10L5s for 139 and i was wondering if they sound nearly as good as the L7's or if i should go for some alpine type r's or s's or fosgate punch hx2's i dunno somthing thaat can pound for like 150 a sub....... powerd by 2 power acoustic 1500 watt amps 1x750 at 2 ohms....mono aightr any help would be appreciated..... it will be in the back of a 94 talon. and maybe some help for box dementions. thanks..

the difference between L5's and L7's is that the 7's handle more power and are a cast aluminum basket compared to stamped steel for the L5. there might be others that i'm not aware of. they should sound close to the same. that is until you go power crazy at which time you'll want the 7's. until that time the 5's will work.

the alpine's might produce a "cleaner" sound though!!

Also the L7's have got a titanium cone and longer excursion. the L5's are basically last years L7's except they have a cast basket instead of aluminum.

like i say to all L7 researchers

solo-barics are more spl, but i have 2 alpine type r 15" subs and the quality is incredible.
