Subs keep cutting out

So around 30 on the volume where my subs are starting to hit well. They always seem to cut out for awhile, then if i turn the volume down the subs comeback on.

I run a kicker 450.2 amp with two 12'' P3 Shallowmount 4ohm subs in a downfire under rearseat box.

I was just wonder if my amp cant keep up or what?

It all depends on wiring, your amp is two ohm stable each channel, make sure you do not have both subs bridged on your amp. It is most likely your amp going into protect, which means that too much current is running through the amp causing it to overheat and go into a special mode where it turns itself off to prevent any damage to the actual amp. You should have one subwoofer on each side of the amp. You mentioned that you have a rear underseat box, make sure your amp is being cooled properly (again, the amp heats up and it will shut itself off to protect itself), if thats also correct then make sure you have a good ground connection. Hope this helps. Keep banging.
