Subs in bmw 3series

So today I was at our local car audio place. I was talking to one of the guys there that I've always felt my w3s should be a lot louder. He was telling me that they would be a lot louder in pretty much any other car. I was just wondering if there was anything short of a new car that would help? He said the reason was because of something with the back seats in these cars.

anything else JL would be a lot louder. the shop i work at sells JL along with rockford and jbl. customer bought 2 w3 tens recently in an 05 f150 with proper box specs and ran them on a slash 1000/1 sounded great on all kinds of music but really didn't have the sac he was looking for. upgraded to t1 10's and it pounds now. but even tho i install rockford jl and jbl im not gonna reccomend them. listen to the guys on here upgrade to some sa12's,ssa icons or dcons, skar makes a nasty sub. many other options. but aside from brand bashing what amp and box specs do you have?

Its all about the box. I'm running 3 JL w1 10s on about 800rms in 3.1cu/ft at 32.5hz and they sound great. I was very impressed with their output and low end extension. T series Rockfords **** for sq.
