Subs in a four runner

My friend has 2 10" P2 subs in his 4 runner now getting 500wrms. Theyre in a sealed prefab box... not sure the size. Anyways, do you think my 12" tc9 in a 2.1 ft^3 box tuned at around 33hz would be a lot louder, with 500watts in his 4runner ?

there is no good way to tell.....i would guess yes based on the enclosures

Ive heard his, but i have a extended cab truck so i cant really compare... plus i ahve a bigger amp.

Im asking if my sub will be louder in his 4runner... he might want to buy it

how good of a friend is this? if not so much, then tell him yes, sell it to him and let him decide

500 watts is gonna sound like 500 watts. the only thing that may make it sound different is that a ported box may have a gain at whatever hz it's tuned to. there are too many factors for a good answer on this. only way to find out is to just put it in and try.

not true.....as an extreme example, put 500 watts on a $50 sub from walmart and 500 watts on a jackhammer......they will not sound the same
