subs hitting differently?

I was listening to my subs with one of my friends and i go to look at them, and i relize that they are hitting at different rates. For example the left would hit hard then rumble an when the rumble started the second one hit hard. So wtf does this mean my subs are fu*ked? they still sound decent, but tell me what you think. anything is a possiblity, but yeah i like this excuse becuase now i feel like i have a decent reason to get that 15 inch SX. I will have to get it set for 2 ohms becuase i have a amp that will do like 1114 watts at 2 ohms, so im saving some money. Thanks guys
